MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />MAY 12, 1993 <br />setback, a variance would be needed. The Administrator <br />suggested that the Council may offer Mr. Pierce the <br />opportunity to process a variance request at no cost. <br />Council discussed the assessment for Rosewood Drive, <br />noting that Pierce had requested that the assessment be <br />decreased by the cost of removinq a portion of the <br />garage. Hanson noted that assessments were in the <br />$15,000 range, and lots along Rosewood Drive have been <br />selling for about $25,000. <br />Scalze noted that the Council did not request Mr. <br />Pierce obtain the priae estimates for removal of the <br />garage, but rather the Mayor made that request. <br />Mr. Pedersen introduced the following resolution and <br />moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 93-5-126 - TAKING NO ACTION ON THE <br />REQUEST OF MR. DON PIERCE FOR CITY PARTICIPATION IN THE <br />COST OF REMOVAL OF A PORTION OF THE GARAGE AT 77 WEST <br />COUNTY ROAD C AND INSTRUCTING THE CITY ADMINISTRATOR TO <br />INFORM MR. PIERCE TAAT THE CITY WOULD PROCESS A <br />VARIANCE APPLICATION, SHOULD MR. PIERCE MAKE <br />APPLICATION, AT NO COST TO MR. PIERCE <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by LaValle. <br />Ayes (5) Pedersen, LaValle, Hanson, Scalze, Morelan. <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />VOUCHERS Mr. Morelan introduced the following resolution and <br />moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 93-5-127 - APPROVING THE VOUCHERS <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by LaValle. <br />Ayes (5) Morelan, LaValle, Scalze, Hanson, Pedersen. <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />MARSHALL The City Attorney reported that a judgement in favor <br />HOUSE of the City was entered on April 12th on the Marshall <br />house. The defendent has 90 days within which to <br />appeal that decision, otherwise the house can be razed. <br />The Attorney reported that the attorney for the <br />defendent has indicated their intention to appeal. <br />RESCAEDULE Due to the attendance of the Mayor, three Council <br />JUNE 9TH Members and the City Administrator at the League of <br />MEETING Minnesota Cities Annual Conference, the June 9th <br />regular Council meeting must be rescheduled. <br />Page 16 <br />
