MINUTES
CITY COUNCIL
MAY 12, 1993
PREMISE
PERMIT
RENEWAL
LSTTLE
CANADA VOL.
FIRE DEPT.
ranged from 4.3790% to 4.75930. Farnham recommended
award of the low bid received.
Hanson asked why the interest rate for this bond issue
was bid lower than the refunding issue.
Farnham suggested that the reason is the refunding bond
was issued the Economic Development Authority versus
the City in the case of the 1993 Improvement Projects
bond, as well as the fact that the refunding issue
extended to the year 2002, while the $1,000,000 City
G.O. bond extended through 2004.
Mr. LaValle introduced the following resolution and
moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION N0. 93-5-120 - AWARDING THE SALE OF
$1,000,000 GENERAL OBLIGATION IMPROVEMENT BONDS, SERIES
1993A TO DOUGHERTY, DAWKINS, STRAND & BIGELOW,
INCORPORATED AT A TRUE INTEREST RATE OF 4.3790%
The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Scalze.
Ayes (5) LaValle, Scalze, Hanson, Morelan, Pedersen.
Nays (0). That application has been reviewed and
appears to be in order.
LaValle asked if the Fire Department was seeking
renewal of their Class A license, or if the license
would be reduced to a Class C since they are no longer
operating at the Little Canada Bingo Hall.
Dick Boss, Fire Chief, replied that the Fire Department
is seeking to reduce their license to a Class C, which
will serve their needs for the fund-raisers and
pull-tab site they wish to continue operatinq.
Mr. LaValle introduced the following resolution and
moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 93-5-121 - APPROVING THE RENEWAL OF
CLASS C PREMISE PERMIT FOR THE LITTLE CANADA VOLUNTEER
FIRE DEPARTMENT FOR THE LICENSE PERIOD AUGUST 1, 1993
THROUGH JULY 31, 1995, AND WAIVING THE CITY'S 60-DAY
REVIEW PERIOD
The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Scalze.
Ayes (5) LaValle, Scalze, Pedersen, Morelan, Hanson.
Nays (0).
