MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />MAY 26, 1993 <br />consider. City staff would then survey the charities <br />to determine their preference. A listing of potential <br />organizations was put together at the May 12th <br />workshop. <br />The City Administrator reported that a letter and <br />survey form was sent out to the organizations by the <br />City on Friday. Results of the survey are that no <br />organizations indicated a preference for the Mover's <br />Warehouse proposal, four organizations indicated a <br />preference for the TCF proposal, and one organization <br />indicated no interest in a bingo operation at all. The <br />Administrator indicated that the Little Canada <br />Recreation Association has not had a meeting of its <br />membership to finalize its position on the issue, but <br />its Board of Directors has indicated that they are not <br />interested. <br />The Administrative Assistant indicated that North <br />Suburban Youth Association submitted their survey form <br />after the 12 noon deadline, therefore, it was not <br />included in the tally outlined by the Administrator. <br />However, NSYA indicated that they prefer the TCF <br />proposal. <br />The Administrator reported that he received a call from <br />St. John's Men's Club, but was not available, <br />therefore, he does not know their position. The <br />Administrator pointed out that the letter indicates <br />that if the survey was not received by the Noon <br />deadline, it would not be included in the survey <br />result, however, this does not preclude the Council <br />from considering the information. <br />Bill Bruce, representing Canadian Days, reported that <br />there are some people involved in Canadian Days who are <br />interested, however, the group has not had a full <br />membership meeting to consider the matter. Upon an <br />informal survey of the group, Bruce reported that <br />Canadian Days prefers the TCF proposal. <br />LaValle asked if TCF has put together a full lease <br />package. <br />Marty Krogman, TCF, replied that TCF has some estimated <br />costs on common areas, utilities, cleaning, etc. but <br />has now decided on fixed costs. Krogman pointed out <br />that after the first year TCF will know its actual <br />Page 2 <br />
