MINUTES
CITY COUNCIL
AUGUST 10, 1994
possible to raise the bond rating. In establishing bond
ratings, rating companies look at things like debt per
capita, tax base, and market value per capita. These are
areas that the City is not able to change.
The Administrator suggested that Little Canada may have a
chance at an A-1 rating, and he will discuss this during
upcoming fiscal advisor interviews. Voto was not sure an
increase to an A-1 bond rating would make a significant
difference.
Voto reviewed pages 61 and 62 which contain a summary of
his recommendations which Voto indicated should be
addressed by the City in 1994.
The City Administrator indicated that the City has made a
lot of progress in the past year, and the Accounting
Clerk has helped tremendously in improving the City's
accounting systems.
LaValle felt that both the City Administrator and
Accounting Clerk deserved a lot of credit in this area.
There being no further business, the workshop was
adjourned at 7:25 P.M. _
~,,, ,
l ~ ~ ~~ / ~
_ ~'~-~~''~~~A~.' ~='=~'~!'-
Raymond G.
