MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />SEPTEt4BER 14, 1994 <br />Mr. LaValle introduced the following resolution and <br />moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 94-9-231 - APPROVING THE MINUTES OF THE <br />AUGUST 30, 1994 WORKSHOP COUNCIL MEETING AS SUBMITTED <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Scalze. <br />Ayes (5) LaValle, Scalze, Hanson, Pedersen, Morelan. <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />ANNOUNCEMENTS Hanson proclaimed the week of September 25 through <br />October 2, 1994 as Minnesota Cities Week. <br />Hanson announced that Midwest Spring located on South <br />Owasso Blvd. in Little Canada is the recipient of a <br />$100,000 grant to be used for the upgrading of employee <br />skills and systems. Midwest Spring will be working <br />with representatives of Northeast Metro Technical <br />College over the next two years on this project. <br />Scalze reported that Market Place Morning Talks will be <br />having a 5 year anniversary celebration on Wednesday, <br />October 12, 1994 at The Little Canada Market Place <br />Binqo Hall. Scalze reported that the City is one of <br />the sponsors of the morning talks program through the <br />Roseville Area Senior Program. Senior interested in <br />this program can register by calling 633-3997. <br />EASE:MENT Hanson opened the Public Hearing to consider the <br />VACATION vacation of a 6-foot drainage and utility easement on <br />the south end of the Nielsen property on Spruce Street. <br />Mr. and Mrs. Nielsen have requested the vacation since <br />they will be purchasing 25 feet of property to the <br />south, and combining it with their existing parcel. A <br />6-foot drainage and utility easement will be dedicated <br />on the new southern-most property line. <br />There was no one from the general public present <br />wishing to comment on this matter. <br />Upon motion by Morelan, seconded by LaValle, the public <br />hearing was closed. <br />Mr. Morelan introduced the following resolution and <br />moved its adoption: <br />2 <br />
