MINUTES CITY COUNCIL SEPTEt4BER 14, 1994 Mr. LaValle introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 94-9-231 - APPROVING THE MINUTES OF THE AUGUST 30, 1994 WORKSHOP COUNCIL MEETING AS SUBMITTED The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Scalze. Ayes (5) LaValle, Scalze, Hanson, Pedersen, Morelan. Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. ANNOUNCEMENTS Hanson proclaimed the week of September 25 through October 2, 1994 as Minnesota Cities Week. Hanson announced that Midwest Spring located on South Owasso Blvd. in Little Canada is the recipient of a $100,000 grant to be used for the upgrading of employee skills and systems. Midwest Spring will be working with representatives of Northeast Metro Technical College over the next two years on this project. Scalze reported that Market Place Morning Talks will be having a 5 year anniversary celebration on Wednesday, October 12, 1994 at The Little Canada Market Place Binqo Hall. Scalze reported that the City is one of the sponsors of the morning talks program through the Roseville Area Senior Program. Senior interested in this program can register by calling 633-3997. EASE:MENT Hanson opened the Public Hearing to consider the VACATION vacation of a 6-foot drainage and utility easement on the south end of the Nielsen property on Spruce Street. Mr. and Mrs. Nielsen have requested the vacation since they will be purchasing 25 feet of property to the south, and combining it with their existing parcel. A 6-foot drainage and utility easement will be dedicated on the new southern-most property line. There was no one from the general public present wishing to comment on this matter. Upon motion by Morelan, seconded by LaValle, the public hearing was closed. Mr. Morelan introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: 2
