MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />APRIL 26, 1995 <br />PLANNING The Council reviewed the applications received for <br />COMMISSION appointment to the Planning Commission for a term to <br />APPOINTMENT expire December 31, 1996. Applications were received <br />from Scott Barraclough, Betty Davison, and Edith <br />Montgomery. A ballot was taken with Morelan, Fahey, <br />LaValle, and Pedersen voting for Scott Barraclough. <br />Scalze voted for Betty Davison. Therefore, Scott <br />Barraclouqh was appointed to fill the vacancy on the <br />Planning Commission. The other candidates were thanked <br />for their interest. <br />WORKSHOP <br />TO DISCUSS <br />REDEVELOPMENT/ <br />ACQUISITION <br />ISSUES IN <br />TIF DISTRICTS <br />PETITION <br />FOR <br />ENVIRONMENTAL <br />ASSE5SMENT <br />wvnr~nr~r.~i~ - <br />KELLER PARKWAY <br />PROJECT <br />The City Administrator recommended that a workshop <br />be held to discuss redevelopment parameters and <br />property acquisition issues in TIF Districts. <br />Morelan indicated that as these issues relate to the <br />Rice Street project, he would like them handled through <br />the normal administrative process. <br />The City Administrator was not sure of the scope of the <br />workshop at this point, and suggested that he would <br />discuss it further with the Mayor once he has the <br />details. <br />Mr. LaValle introduced the following resolution and <br />moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 95-4-119 - CALLING A WORKSHOP FOR <br />WEDNESDAY, MAY 10~ 1995, AT 6 P.M. TO DISCUSS <br />REDEVELOPMENT PARAMETERS AND PROPERTY ACQUISITION <br />ISSUES IN TIF DISTRICTS <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Scalze. <br />Ayes (5) LaValle, Scalze, Morelan, Fahey, Pedersen. <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />The Council acknowledged a copy of a petition the <br />City received requesting an environmental <br />assessment worksheet be done for the Keller Parkway <br />road project. Fahey reported that the petition was <br />forwarded to the County for their reaction, and the <br />County has indicated for a variety of reasons that the <br />worksheet is not appropriate or necessary. <br />The City Administrator pointed out that the road <br />improvement project is a County project.
