MINUTES OF THE WORKSHOP MEETING <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />LITTLE CANADA, MINNESOTA <br />MAY 10, 1995 <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof a workshop <br />meeting of the Council of the City of Little Canada, <br />Minnesota was held on the lOth day of May, 1995 in the <br />Council Chambers of the City Center located at 515 <br />Little Canada Road in said City. <br />Mayor Michael I. Fahey called the meeting to order at <br />6:08 P.M. and the following members of the Council were <br />present at roll call: <br /> MEMBERS PRESENT: Mayor Mr. Michael I. Fahey <br /> Council Member Mr. Jim LaValle <br /> Council Member Mr. Steve Morelan <br /> Council Member Mr. Bob Pedersen <br /> Council Member Mrs. Beverly Scalze <br /> ALSO PRESENT: City Admin. Mr. Joel Hanson <br /> Fiscal Advisor Mr. Rusty Fifield <br /> Prop. Owner Mr. Don Gagne <br /> Venetian Inn Mr. Joe Vitale <br /> Venetian Inn Mr. Jim Vitale <br /> Venetian Inn Mr. Gary Collyard <br /> Admin. Asst. Mrs. Kathy Glanzer <br />REDEVELOPMENT The purpose of tonight's workshop is to discuss <br />PARAMETERS redevelopment parameters and property acquisition <br />RELATED TO issues related to Tax Increment Financing. <br />TIF <br /> The City Administrator reported that market conditions <br /> are changing along Country Drive. The City has been <br /> receiving inquiries about this area from developers. <br /> Therefore, it is necessary to discuss the approach the <br /> City will take to redevelopment in order to get the <br /> optimal development along Country Drive. <br /> The Administrator pointed out that the Country Drive <br /> TIF District currently has accrued about $160,000 of <br /> excess increment, and it is projected that this <br /> District will accrue about $50,000 per year. <br /> The Administrator reported that Loren Bruggemann, the <br /> developer of the two Kandice projects, is no longer <br /> associated with those projects.
