MINUTES OF THE WORKSHOP MEETING <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />LITTLE CANADA, MINNESOTA <br />NOVENIBER 8 , 1995 <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof a workshop <br />meeting of the Council of the City of Little Canada, <br />Minnesota was held on the 8th day of November, 1995 in <br />the Council Chambers of the City Center located at 515 <br />Little Canada Road in said City. <br />Mayor Michael Fahey chaired and called the meeting to <br />order at 6:30 P.M. and the following members of the <br />Council were present at roll call: <br />MEMBERS PRESENT: Mayor Mr. Michael Fahey <br />Council Member Mr. Jim LaValle <br />Council Member Mr. Steve Morelan <br />Council Member Mr. Bob Pedersen <br />Council Member Mrs. Beverly Scalze <br />ALSO PRESENT: City Admin. Mr. Joel Hanson <br />Fire Chief Mr. Dick Boss <br />Fire Relief Mr. Joe Vitale <br />Park & Rec Mr. Jim Morelan <br />Cable TV Prod. Ms. Jane Boog <br />Admin . Asst. Mrs. Kathy Glanzer <br />1996 Mayor Fahey opened the continuation of the 1996 Budget <br />BUDGET workshop meeting. <br />WORKSHOP <br />Morelan stated that he would like to begin by saying <br />that every time the issue of Fire Relief Pension <br />Benefits is before the Council, someone makes a special <br />e£fort to point out that he is a member of the Fire <br />Department. Morelan stated that the fact that he is a <br />member of the Fire Department is something that he has <br />never tried to hide, and that he is, in fact, quite <br />proud of this fact. Morelan stated that anytime you <br />can be a member of an organization which has served the <br />City well for 50 years, that is something to be proud <br />of, and he feels quite fortunate to be associated with <br />the Fire Department. Morelan further stated that if <br />the point is to alert the public to the fact that he <br />may be biased on the issue and not thinking clearly or <br />not making a good rational decision, that is definitely <br />not the case. Morelan stated the record is very clear <br />that he has not tried to influence the City Council <br />unduly. He would hope by now that those people who do <br />not know him that well would see this, and that people <br />on the City Council, who he does know well, understood <br />this to begin with. <br />Morelan stated that if there is anyone on the City <br />1 <br />
