Resolution declared adopted.
CUP FOR Fahey opened the Public Hearing to consider an
SPECIAL application for a Conditional Use Permit for a special
PURPOSE purpose fence at Hoggsbreath at 2504 Rice Street. The
FENCE - City Planner and the Planning Commission have
HOGGSBREATII recommended approval of the CUP.
Mr. Tom Duray, owner of the Hoggsbreath reported that
he is making some major improvements to the Hoggsbreath
property. The first phase involves installation of
curbing and blacktop for the east portion of the
parking lot, as well as installation of green area.
The second phase involves the western portion of the
parking lot, and the third phase will be a complete
face-lift for the outside of the building. In
considering the first phase improvements, Duray
indicated he noted the poor condition of the existing
fence. Duray felt the fence has become a real eyesore.
Therefore, Duray is proposing the fence be removed
completely and replaced with a rock-faced block fence.
Duray stated that the existing fence has served its
purpose over the last 19 years. That is to keep noise
from the parking lot from carrying over into the
adjacent mobilehome park. However, the fence is now
warped, and in such poor condition, it needs
replacement.
Duray reported that the block fence would be the same
height as the existing fence. Duray also indicated the
look of the fence would be broken up with pylings every
20 feet.
7
