MINUTES CITY COUNCIL AUGUST 14, 1996 the parking lot at The Market Place 5hopping Center. Morelan asked if one of the focuses of the Rice Street car was to patrol this area. Shanley replied that it was. Shanley reported that the Rice Street car assists the other patrol cars, and will patrol areas when other cars are tied up. Shanley felt the situation was working well, and reported that the Rice Street car is a very busy car. Morelan reported that he has had some contact with the Sheriff's Department's dispatch employees, and he agreed they were an outstanding crew. Morelan suggested that when the Sheriff's Department has an open house, visitors be encouraged to visit the dispatch center. LaValle indicated that Lt. Shanley has always had a good working relationship with the contract cities, and stated that he will be missed. Fletcher reported that Lt. Shanley will be transferring to his office as the departmental affairs person. Lt. Daly will be assuming Shanley~s present duties. Fletcher indicated that both are excellent individuals, and the reassignment should work well. Fletcher thanked the Council for the opportunity to address them this evening. CONSENT Mr. LaValle introduced the following resolution and AGENDA moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 96-8-188 - APPROVING THE CONSENT AGENDA WHICH CONTAINS THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION: *APPROVAL OF MASSAGE THERAPY LICENSE FOR JACQUELINE THOMPSON TO OPERATE AT NATURAL REFLECTIONS; *APPROVAL OF PALMEN FILL PERMIT; *APPOINTMENT OF ELECTION JUDGES FOR THE PRIMARY AND GENERAL ELECTIONS AS RECOMMENDED BY STAFF; *APPROVAL OF CHANGE ORDERS FOR THE OLD FIRE STATION PROJECT AS RECOMMENDED BY STAFF. The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Morelan. Ayes (5) LaValle, Morelan, Pedersen, Scalze, Fahey. Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. 8
