MINI7TES OF THE REGULAR MEETING <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />LITTLE CANADA, MINNESOTA <br />25, 1996 <br />Pursuant to due oall and notice thereof a regular <br />meeting of the City Council of the City of Little <br />Canada, Minnesota was held on the 25th day of <br />September, 1996 in the Council Chambers of the City <br />Center located at 515 Little Canada Road in said City. <br />Mayor Miohael I. Fahey called the meeting to order at <br />7:30 P.M. and the following members of the City Council <br />were present at roll call: <br />CITY COUNCIL: Mayor Mr. Michael I. Fahey <br />Council Member Mr. Bob Pedersen <br />Council Member Mr. Jim LaValle <br />Council Member Mr. Steve Morelan <br />Council Member Mrs. Beverly 5calze <br />ALSO PRESENT: City Admin. Mr. Joel Hanson <br />City Attorney Mr. Tom Sweeney <br />City Planner Mr. Steve Grittman <br />Fiscal Advisor Mr. Rusty Fifield <br />Admin. Asst. Mrs. Kathy Glanzer <br />MINUTES Mr. Pedersen introduced the following resolution and <br />moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION N0. 96-9-228 - APPROVING THE MINUTES OF THE <br />SEPTEMBER 9, 1996 WORKSHOP COUNCIL MEETING AND THE <br />SEPTEMBER 11, 1996 REGULAR COUNCIL MEETING AS SUBMITTED <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Scalze. <br />Ayes (5) Pedersen, Scalze, LaValle, Morelan, Fahey. <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />PUBLIC Mayor Fahey opened the public hearing to consider an <br />xEARING - application for Variance to the required rear yard <br />VARIANCE setback in order to enclose an existing deck and <br />FOR REAR convert it into a porch. The property in question is <br />YARD SETBACK - located at 812 Aspen Circle. Fahey pointed out that <br />812 ASPEN both the City Planner and Planning Commission have <br />CIRCLE - recommended denial as it was felt there was no hardship <br />JEBENS present to justify a variance. <br />Mr. David Jebens, 812 Aspen Circle, presented the <br />Council with some pictures of his house which were <br />taken as the house was being constructed. These <br />pictures showed the 10 foot by 10 foot deck, and Jebens <br />1 <br />
