MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />DECEMBER 3~ 1996 <br />ADJOURN <br />Should be bids come in over estimate, the City has the <br />ability to reject the bids and try to get a better <br />price. <br />Drake asked the expected life of the reconstructed <br />road. <br />The Engineer replied that the standard is 20 years. <br />However, with good maintenance and drainage, the road <br />should last quite a bit longer than that. <br />There was no one else from the general public present <br />wishinq to comment on this matter. <br />Upon motion by Morelan, seconded by Scalze, the public <br />hearing was closed. <br />Mr. Morelan introduced the following resolution and <br />moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 96-12-297 - ORDERING THE IMPROVEMENT OF <br />ARCADE STREET FROM THE NORTH LINE OF KELLER PARKWAY TO <br />THE SOUTH LINE OF COUNTY ROAD D BY ROADWAY <br />RECONSTRUCTION INCLUDING CONCRETE CURB AND GUTTER AND <br />STORM DRAINAGE IMPROVEMENTS AS WELL AS WATER MAIN ON <br />THE PORTION OF ARCADE STREET BETWEEN KELLER PARKWAY AND <br />LABORE ROAD, WITH THE STIPULATION OF OPTION 3A FOR THE <br />PATH IMPROVEMENT, DIRECTING THE CITY ENGINEER TO <br />COORDINATE THE STREET RECONSTRUCTION PROJECT WITH THE <br />WATERSHED'S DITCH 7A PROJECT, AND ORDERING PREPARATION <br />OF PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS FOR THE IMPROVEMENT <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Pedersen. <br />Ayes (5) Morelan, Pedersen, Scalze, LaValle, Fahey. <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />Fahey thanked those present for the input provided this <br />evening. <br />Mr. LaValle introduced the following resolution and <br />moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION N0. 96-12-298 - ADJOURNING <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Pedersen. <br />Ayes (5) LaValle, Pedersen, Morelan, Fahey, Scalze. <br />Nays (0).
