MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />JANUARY 8, 1997 <br />CLOSED <br />SESSION <br />*APPROVING AN EXEMPTION FROM LAWFUL GAMBLING LICENSE <br />FOR ST. JOHN'S MEN'S CLUB SNOW GO DINNER TO BE HELD <br />ON FEBRUARY 8, 1997 AT THE VENETIAN INN; <br />*APPROVING PARKING RESTRICTIONS ON ARCADE STREET FROM <br />KELLER PARKWAY TO COUNTY ROAD D AS RECOMMENDED BY THE <br />CITY ENGINEER; <br />*APPROVING THE BUDGET POWER LEASE AGREEMENT AS <br />RECOMMENDED BY THE CITY ADMINISTRATOR AND AUTHORIZING <br />THE MAYOR AND CITY ADMINISTRATOR TO EXECUTE ON BEHALF <br />OF THE CITY; <br />*APPROVING THE 1997 LEGAL RETAINER AGREEMENT WITH THE <br />CITY ATTORNEY AS SUBMITTED AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR <br />AND CITY ADMINISTRATOR TO EXECUTE ON BEHALF OF THE <br />CITY~ <br />*APPROVING THE REDUCTION <br />HERITAGE OFFICE PARK AS <br />ADMINISTRATOR; <br />IN LETTER OF CREDIT FOR <br />RECOMMENDED BY THE CITY <br />*APPROVING THE VOUCAERS. <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Scalze. <br />Ayes (5) Pedersen, Scalze, Fahey, LaValle, Morelan. <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />The City Attorney requested that the Council call for <br />closed session following this evening's meeting to <br />discuss pending litigation. <br />Mrs. Scalze introduced the following resolution and <br />moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION N0. 97-1-11 - CALLING FOR CLOSED SESSION <br />FOLLOWING THIS EVENING'S REGULAR MEETING TO DISCUSS <br />PENDING LITIGATION AS REQUESTED BY THE CITY ATTORNEY <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Pedersen. <br />Ayes (5) Scalze, Pedersen, Morelan, LaValle, Fahey. <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />COUNTRY The City Administrator referred to his appraisal <br />DRIVE summary information for the Country Drive properties, <br />PROPERTY and requested authorization to commence negotiations <br />ACQUISITIONS for those properties with an "A" or "B" priority <br />ranking. It was reported that cost, location, and <br />budget were the factors that went into the priority <br />6 <br />
