MINUTES
CITY COUNCIL
APRIL 2, 1997
Brachman pointed out that Dominium is a taxpayer in the community.
Dominium has done some good things at The Provinces. Brachman stated
that he realizes the City has a policy of not supporting 100% affordable
housin~, but disagreed that such a desi~nation would have a negative
impact on the community. Dominium has put a lot of money into The
Provinces and they now want the ability to put more in. Brachman stated
that he understands the information the Council wants, and he will put that
information together.
It was the consensus of the Council that a workshop meeting would be
scl~eduled for April 16`~' at 7 P.M. to review the information to be
provided by Dominium. The Council thanked Dominium for their
attendance this evenin~;.
Ippel summarized the legal situation for the Council as well as the options
available. The City Attorney indicated that litigation is not a viable
solution for either side; however, it was his opinion that Dominium would
]ose if the case were litigated.
lppel indicated that she would have someone in her office review the
informatiou submitted by llominium to evaluate its accuracy.
Council continued with some general discussion of the issues previously
discussed. Council instructed the City Administrator to inform Dominium
that they would proceed with the workshop on April 16'~' only if the
information they requested is provided.
There bein~ no further business, the workshop was adjourned at 9 P.M
"~~
~L
Mic ael I.
