MINUTES OF THE I2~GULAR M~~Tl'NG <br />CITY COUNC:[L <br />LITTL~ CANADA, MINN~SOTA <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof a regular meetin~ ofthe Cit~y <br />Council of the City of Little Canada, Minnesota was held on the 9" day of <br />April, 1997 in the Council Chambers of tl~e City Center located at 515 <br />Little Canada Road in said City. <br />APRIL 9, 1997 <br />Mayor Michael I. Fahey called the meetin~ to order at 7:30 P.M. and the <br />following members of the City Council were present at roll call: <br />CITY COUNCIL: <br />Mayor <br />Council Msmber <br />Council Member <br />Council Member <br />Council Member <br />Mr. Michael I. Beverly Scalze <br />ALSO PRESENT <br />City Ad~ninistrator <br />City Attorney <br />Cabie TV Producer <br />Admin. t~ssisYaut <br />Mr. Joel Hanson <br />Mr. Tom Sweeney <br />Mr. Greg Schroeder <br />Mrs. I{athy Glanzer <br />MINUTES Mrs. Scalze introduced the i'ollowing resolution and moved its adoption: <br />REb'07, UTION NO. 97-4-77 - APPROVING 'lHE MINUTES OF THE <br />MARCFI 26, 1997 REGUT AR MEETlNG Ab" SUI3MITTED <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by LaValle. <br />Ayes (5) Scalze, LaValle, Morelan, Pedersen, Fahey. <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />RAMSEY Mayor Fahey welcomed members of the Ramsey County Sheriff's <br />COUNTY Department. <br />SfI~RIFF' S <br />D~PARTM~N'C Sheriff Bob Fletcher appeared before the Council to address issues of <br />public safety and crime prevention in Little Clnada. Sheriff Fletcher <br />reported that the Sheriff's Department has increased their efforts in this <br />area throtii~h the addition of a full-time crime prevention officer. This <br />position is funded tlirou~h a Federal Crime Prevention Grant and by the <br />seven contract cities. The gr~nt pays for 75% of the cosY, while cities pay <br />25%.
