MINUT~S OF THE WORKSHOP ME~TING <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />LITTLE CANADA, MINN~SOTA <br />APRIL 9, 1997 <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof a workshop meeting of the City <br />Council of the City of Little Canada, Minnesota was held the 9°i day of <br />April, 1997 in the Council Chambers of Yhe City Center located at 515 <br />Little Canada Road in said City. <br />Mayor Michael I. Fahey called the meeting to order at 6:05 P.M. and the <br />following members of the City Council were present at roll call: <br /> CITY COUNCIL: Mayor Mr. Michael I. Fahey <br /> Council Member Mr. Jim LaValle <br /> Council Member Mr. Bob Pedersen <br /> Council Member Mrs. Beverly Scalze <br /> ABSENT: CoLtncil Member Mr. Steve Morelan <br /> ALSO P2ESENT: City Administrator Mr. Joel Hanson <br /> Planning Comm. Mr. Gene DeLonais <br /> Bhlers & Assoc. Mr. Rusty Fifield <br /> Ehlers & Assoc. Mr. Sid Inman <br /> Hoisington I{oegler Mr. Michael Schroeder <br /> The Venetian Inn Mr. Joe Vitale <br /> The Venetian Inn Mr. Jim Vitale <br /> Tieiney's Liquor Mr. Mark Lendway <br /> Admin. Assistant Mrs. Kathy Glanzer <br />RICE STRE~T/ The City Administrator reported that the City has received responses from <br />LITTLE CANADA two prospective developers being considered for the Rice Street/Little <br />ROAD Canada Road redevelopment project. The Administrator noted that those <br />REDEVELOP- responses did not fully answer the questions the City posed. However, <br />iVIENT PROJECT both developers feel it is too premature to spend the dollars necessary to <br /> put together concept redevelopment plans. The Administrator suggested it <br /> was appropriate at this point to select the developer for the project given <br /> the fact it is unlikely we will accumulate any significant additional <br /> information. <br />The Administrator indicated that he lsked each developer for a timeline <br />outlinin~ the redevelopment process. Wall Companies indicated they <br />would like CiYy involvemeut in the development of a concept plan. <br />Laurent Parks would prepare a concept plan for the City's reaction. Once <br />
