Table 1: Strategic plan reporting tool heading definitions Heading Definition Strategic Direction The overarching four categories that define the overall strategic work plan Strategic Direction Goal The purpose of this column is to show the results of completed action items Action Items This column shows actions that need to be completed to obtain the direction result Priority of Action Item Outlines the priority of the action item, starting specifically with years 1-3 of the plan. Key Outcome Indicator This column shows the true “nuts and bolts” of how to actually complete an action items Assigned Department Assigned Staff Member Assigns the responsible department and staff member for each action item. The status for each action item will once again be broken into five categories and is based on 100% completion for each individual item. Table 2 outlines each category and definition. Table 2: Completion Percent Tracking Definitions On Track Some Delay Progress Paused Upcoming Complete Work for action item is on track Work for action item is delayed between 1-3 years Work for action item is paused to address other priorities Work for action item is planned and upcoming Work for action item is complete and/or now considered ongoing APRIL 23 WORKSHOP: At the April 23 City Council Workshop staff presented the draft strategic plan and progress reporting tool. At the workshop, councilmembers provided feedback and recommended changes. Staff articulated that a finalized document would be developed and presented on May 14 for consideration of formal adoption.
