Moarn replied that the peak times for hockey are 6 A.M. to 8 f~.M. <br />and 3 P.M. to 6:30 P.M. There would be some overlap with the peak <br />evening hours for a movia theater. <br />Fahey pointed out that the two concepts would require a larger site than <br />what is currently available unless a lot of property taken out. Fahey <br />suggested th~t the City Administrltor work with Laurent/Pai•ks to let them <br />know the availability of parcels and which ones would be more difficult to <br />acquire. <br />Joe Vita(e felt that a theater and/or arena should f'ace Little Canada Rotid <br />so that the rztail sites can access Rice Street, <br />The Council indicated its support of the arena and theate~ concepts. The <br />Administrator agreed the concept is worth pursuin~;. Fahey indicated his <br />witlingness to meet with any developers comin~; out to view the site. <br />LaValle a~;reed that the City should be aggressive in its pursuit of <br />developers. <br />Moarn stated that it is their hope the Council is excited about the details, <br />and indicated they will try to tie these details up. Moarn indicated that it <br />may be 'rmportant to have representatives of the hockey community <br />available to meet with the arena developers when they come to town. <br />The Council indicated that Laurent/Parks should work with the City <br />Adrainistrator on the next step. Mayor Fahey thanked Laurent/Parks for <br />their presentation. <br />The City Administrator reported that he would get an agrecment worked <br />out with Laurent/Parks on the time line for this next step.
