OLD FIRE The Administrative Assistant reviewed her re~ort dated June '18, 1997 HALL rellting to alcohol use issues at fhe Old Pire I-Iall. Morelan felt ii'tl~e City is going to allow alcohol use at the Old Tire Hall, liquor liability ins~u~ance should be required. Morelln noted tl~1t the cost is relsonable for someone to obtain a liquor liability insurance rider on their homeowners ins~uance providing Yhat covera~e. It was t~he consensus of the Co~incii Co 211ow alcohoi usage at the Old Fire I-lall provided that liquor littbility insurance coverage is provided by the renter of the [-[~II. Cou~~cil discussed interpretat~ion of the ins~n~lnce riders that might be submitted by various insurance companies. '1'he City Adininistrator su~gested the first few riders co~ild be reviewed by the City's insurance agent and/or City Attorney. Rental details would be revisited at such time as ti~e Councii decides to make the use a permanent one. LaValle indiclted that he o~~~~osed 111owing Iceg beer at the Old Fire Hall. lt was the consensus of t~he Council th~t rental usage oCthe Old Pire Hall would not be allowed for events requirin~ the sale of'ticl<ets. lt was further noted th~it under the "Old Fire I-Iall Use Policy" certlin City-based organizations are allowed to use the facility for fund-raisin~ events. Scalze s~ig~ested the Rental Rules and Regui~itions include a stltement that the damage deposit is refundable only if ali the rules are Pollowed and aRer 1n inspection is completed. I6
