MINUTES CITY COUNCIL AUGUST 13, 1997 PERMIT Cossack to hunt deer on his property. The deer are causing damage to Mr. Frattalone's crops. The request is to take up to six deer during the time period beginning with approval of the permit through October le~. It was pointed out that the City approved a similar permit in 1994. Staff reported that should the Council approve the permit, final approval and determination of the number of deer allowed to be taken would be made by the DNR. Mr. LaValle introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOl. Ayes (4) LaValle, Pedersen, Fahey, Scalze. Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. TELECOMMUN- The Council reviewed the proposed Telecommunications Ordinances ICATIONS submitted by the League of Minnesota Cities as well as Tom Creighton, ORDINANCE attorney for the North Suburban Cable Commission. It was noted that Mr. Creighton's ordinance is broader in scope than the one submitted by the League. The City Administrator reported that there is some urgency in adopting the Ordinance from a timing standpoint as it is anticipated that the Council will be actin~; on renewal of the cable franchise in September. The Administrator felt that until the City starts applying the provisions contained in the Telecommunications Ordinance, the City cannot be sure how workable the ordinance wili be. M~s.
