MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />AUGUST 13, 1997 <br />PERMIT Cossack to hunt deer on his property. The deer are causing damage to Mr. <br />Frattalone's crops. The request is to take up to six deer during the time <br />period beginning with approval of the permit through October le~. It was <br />pointed out that the City approved a similar permit in 1994. Staff reported <br />that should the Council approve the permit, final approval and <br />determination of the number of deer allowed to be taken would be made <br />by the DNR. <br />Mr. LaValle introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOl. Resolution declared adopted. <br />TELECOMMUN- The Council reviewed the proposed Telecommunications Ordinances <br />ICATIONS submitted by the League of Minnesota Cities as well as Tom Creighton, <br />ORDINANCE attorney for the North Suburban Cable Commission. It was noted that Mr. <br />Creighton's ordinance is broader in scope than the one submitted by the <br />League. The City Administrator reported that there is some urgency in <br />adopting the Ordinance from a timing standpoint as it is anticipated that <br />the Council will be actin~; on renewal of the cable franchise in September. <br />The Administrator felt that until the City starts applying the provisions <br />contained in the Telecommunications Ordinance, the City cannot be sure <br />how workable the ordinance wili be. <br />M~s.
