STAFF REPORT <br />TO:Mayor Fischer and Members of the City Council <br />FROM:Eric Seaburg, P.E., City Engineer <br />DATE:June 11, 2025 <br />RE:Final Payment #7 – Pioneer Park Improvements <br />ACTIONS TO BE CONSIDERED: <br />Motion to approve Final Pay Estimate No. 7 to Albrecht Company in the amount of $222,981.18. <br />BACKGROUND: <br />The final amount earned by the Contractor on this project is $1,194,437.88. Withholding <br />previous payments, the amount due is $222,981.18. <br />SOURCE OF FUNDS: <br />Park improvements will be funded through the City’s Capital Improvement Plan Fund (Fund <br />400), the 10% Fund (Fund 408), American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funds, a MnDNR Grant, <br />and a donation from the Little Canada Recreation Association (LCRA). Lighting improvements <br />from Change Order 3 will be funded with carryover funds from the 2022 Capital Improvement <br />Fund. The Thunder Bay / Westwinds Park Trail extension from Change Order 4 will be funded <br />with carryover funds from the 2024 Capital Improvement Fund 400. <br />STAFF RECOMMENDATIONS: <br />Staff recommends that the City Council approve payment in the amount of $222,981.18 to <br />Albrecht Company.
