MINUTES
CITY COUNCIL
DECEMBER 17, 1997
Grootwassink reported that they are currently happy with the present
location of the bin~o hall. However, if relocating the hall assists the
City's redevelopment efforts, they are willing to pursue that option.
Grootwassink indicated that they are excited about the City's
redevelopment efforts and the visibility this will provide for The Market
Place Shopping Center.
The City Administrator reported that Earl Cardinal has contacted him and
indicated his interest in selling his property this spring. It was the
consensus of the Council that our offer to purchase should remain open at
this time.
The Administrator reported that Common Bond has contacted the City to
determine any interest in providing assistance for an assisted-livin~ project
on the property south of the pond on Rice Street. It was the consensus of
the Council that they were interested in learning the extent of the
assistance Common Bond is looking for. However, Fahey felt the City's
first priority at this point is the Rice Street/Little Canada Road
redevelopment area.
Upon motion by LaValle, seconded by Pedersen, the workshop meeting
was adjourned at 7:30 P.M.
~ ~.c.~uz~ Je~:
Micha l I.
