MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />DECEMBER 17, 1997 <br />Mr. Morelan introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOL DTION NO. 97-12-305 - RATIFYING THE CAPITAL <br />IMPROVEMENT PLAN AS RECOMMENDED I3Y THE CITY <br />ADMINISTRATOR <br />The foregoin~ resolution was duly seconded by LaValle. <br />Ayes (5) Morelan, LaValle, Fahey, Pedersen, Scalze. <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />Mr. Pedersen introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RE,SOI, IITION NO. 97-12-306 - APPROVINC THE 199813UDGET AS <br />RECOMMENDED I3Y THE CITY ADMINISTRATOR <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by LaValle. <br />Ayes (5) Pedersen, LaValle, Fahey, Scalze, Morelan. <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />LICENSE FEES Scalze referred to The Review's recent article regarding the City's <br />increase in license fee for auto-related businesses. Scalze suggested that <br />the Council look at license fees on a more frequent basis rather than end <br />up making substantial increases in some fees that have not been increased <br />in the past 10 years. <br />Morelan agreed that fees should be reviewed either annually or bi- <br />annually, and suggested that fees should be reflective of the City's <br />expenses. <br />The City Administrator pointed out that the auto repair license fee has <br />become an issue ~iven the increased code enforcement activities <br />associated with this license over the past year or two. <br />Fahey agreed that license fees should be looked at annually, and <br />commented that the amount of the fee should be reasonably related to the <br />cost of service. <br />CONSENT Mrs. Scalze introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />AGENDA <br />RE.SOI,UTIONNO. 97-12-307-APPROVING TFIE CONSENT <br />AGENDA WHICH CONTAINS THE FOI,I,OWING: <br />
