MINUTES <br />CITY CO'UNC1L <br />JULY 8, 1998 <br />The City AdminisYrltor reported that City staPl'recommends approval of <br />the setbaclc c(arification given th2Y the same hardsl~ip exists since Yhe City <br />caused the properry to become a corner lot when'Rosewood Drive was <br />improved. <br />Morelan ~ointed out that h~d tl~e property remained commerci~l, a <br />building could be constructed right up to the side yard property lines. <br />Doug McMillan repo~ted that in reviewing the tlevelopment widi his <br />arcliitect, it may be necessary to move the building one or two feet further <br />to tl~e west in order to malce tl~e drive-tiu~ough work Therefore, McMillan <br />requested tl~at if the need arises he be allowed to adjust Yhe pl~cement of <br />the buildin~ one or two feet. The setbacl< on the east would be no less <br />than 10 feet However, if the buildinb had to be moved further west, the <br />setback on tlie west coiild be 17 feeC. <br />Morelan st~ted thaY he wo~ild 1~reed to tl~at request provided that the <br />setbacl< on the west is no closer to Rosewood Drive than the setbac]< for <br />the house immediately Co Hie north. <br />McMi(lan reported di~t the closest the structure would be to the west <br />prope~ty line would be l7 feeC.
