MINUT~S <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />JULY 8, 1998 <br />The Council discussed tl~e size and mal<e-up of tl~e committee. There was <br />also discussion regarding the Pire ChiePs serving on the committee. The <br />City AdminisCrator indicated that it was his feeling thaY the Fire Chief <br />would serve as a resource to the conunittee similar to the role that City <br />department l~eads would serve. <br />It w2s the cousensus of the Couucil tt~at the City Administrator would be <br />charged with recruiting additiona( members oftl~e commiYtee. Morelan <br />sug~ested that tlle committee consist of 7 to 9 members and that <br />membership be equally divided between resideutia] ~roperty owuers and <br />business property owners. Resol~iCion decllred ~dopted. <br />STORM The City Administrator reported that tree 1nd Urush pick-up h1s <br />DAMAGE commenced in the City from the d~ma~e caused by the latest storm, <br />REMOVAL It m1y be ~ossible that Yhe cost of d~is dean-up will be included in the <br />FEMA dislster assistance. FGMA is picl<in~ up 75% of the cost of <br />damage fiom the May stonn, and the State wili be picl<ing up an additional <br />15%. Piecision Tree is c~tnvassing the City, picl<ing up trees 1~id brush <br />thlt residciits le2ve by the curb. <br />RICE STRG~T/ The City Administrator reviewed a memo from Tom Bray ofBriggs & <br />LITTL~ Morgan. Mr. Br1y redrafted the (ease agreement which Cinemark had <br />CANADA sent to tlie City. The lease sent by Cinemarl< provided for more risk than <br />ROAD staff felt appropriate f'or the City to assume. The redrafted lease will make <br />RE~DEVELOP- this risl< moie mana~eable. The redrafCed lease will be forwarded to <br />M~NT Cinemarl< with a cover letter tomorrow. <br />IS <br />
