MINUTGS <br />CITY COUNCTL <br />AUGUST 26, 1998 <br />The Director agreed that he clid not feel Yhe City would hlve requests for <br />twelve tow'naments and eslimt~ted that 'four would be a more realistic <br />number. <br />F~I~ey recommended that the policy be ~p~xoved as recommended by the <br />Pa~i<s & Recreation Commission widi a chan~e in Che f rst ~araoraph that <br />would ~Ilow for priority usa~e by City-sponsored groups and teams. <br />F1hey also suggested thaC fees be set as appropriate based on what other <br />cities are charging. <br />The Director indic~ited that I~e would mal<e th~t ch~tn~e, and also indicated <br />that he wo~ild lil:e to reword the ~~olicy to retlect that p<u~l<in~ is allowed <br />alon~ DeSoto SCreet. <br />Fahey su~~ested that the ~~olicy be reworded and presented to the Council <br />with a recominendation on fees. Pedersen su~~ested there be two fees <br />esfablislied, one Por tourn~ments with alcohol antl one witho~it. <br />Morelan pointed out lhat the policy re(ers lo tournaments run by non- <br />~rofir groups.
