MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />OCTOBER 14,1998 <br />REDEVELOP- he is interested in moving forward with the development of the northern <br />MENT parcel irrespective of whether or not the theater project proceeds. The <br />Administrator indicated that without the theater, the City will have to look <br />at the economics of the redevelopment of this northern parcel. The <br />Administrator was not sure when Mr. Moarn would have something to <br />present to the Council. <br />FILL PERMiT - Given that the Public Works Director recommended no action on the <br />24ll McMENEMY application for fill permit for 2411 McMenemy Road, the Council pass on <br />this item. <br />PURCHASE OF The Council reviewed the recommendation of the Public Works Director <br />VACTOR for the purchase of a vactor truck. The cost of this truck would be <br />TRUCK charged against the Water & Sewer Capital Replacement Fund. <br />Mr. Fahey introduced the followin~ resolution and moved its adoption <br />RESOI.UTION NO. 98-IO-252 -APPROVING THE PURCHAS~ OF A <br />VACTOR TRUCK AT A TOTAI, PRICE OF ~201. 054 PI, US SALES <br />TAX AS RECOMMENDED ]3Y THE PUI37,IC WORKS DIRECTOR IN <br />HIS MEMO DATED OCTOBER 7, 1998 <br />The foregoin~ resolution was duly seconded by Scalze. <br />Ayes (4) Fahey, Scalze, LaValle, Pedersen. <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />The Administrator pointed out that the truck will be purchased through the <br />State Purchasing Program, which will satisfy the requirements of the <br />competitive bidding process. <br />COUNTY The Council reviewed the Deputy Clerk's report dated October 13, 1998 <br />ROAD B-2 regarding the renaming of County Road B-2 as well as the address <br />ISSUES numbering issues, which have arisen with the Jim Olson townhome <br />development on Viking Drive. <br />Based on this report, it was the consensus of the Council to retain the <br />name "County Road B-2" on that section of street on the west side of the <br />freeway between Rice Street and Viking Drive. Staffwas instructed to <br />survey the County Road B-2 residents on that section of street east of the <br />free to determine their interest in renaming their street. <br />11 <br />
