MINIITES OF THE WORKSHOP MEETiNG <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />LTTTLE CANADA, MINNESOTA <br />OCTOBER 28, 1998 <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof a workshop meeting of the City <br />Council of Little Canada, Minnesota was held on the 28'~' day of October, <br />1998 in the Council Chambers of the City Center located at 515 Little <br />Canada Road in said City. <br />Mayor Michael I. Fahey called the meeting to order at 6:10 P.M. and the <br />following members of the City Council were present at roll call: <br /> CITY COUNCIL: Mayor Mr. Michael Fahey <br /> Council Member Mr. Steve Morelan <br /> Council Member Mr. Bob Pedersen <br /> Council Member Mrs . Beverly Scalze <br /> ABSENT: Council Member Mr. Jim LaValle <br /> ALSO PRESENT: City Administrator Mr. Joel R. Hanson <br /> Fire Chief Mr. Dick Boss <br /> Park & Rec. Dir. Mr. Jim Morelan <br /> Public Works Dir. Mr. Greg Schroeder <br /> Accountant Ms. Julie Manville-Camp <br /> Cable TV Producer Mr. Brian Behm <br /> Deputy Clerk Mrs . Kathy Glanzer <br />GENERAL The City Administrator submitted the proposed General Capital <br />CAPiTAL Improvement Budget for Council consideration. The Administrator <br />TMPROVEMENT reviewed the revenue portion of this budget pointin~ out that for the <br />BUDGET years 2000 throu~h 2002 he has allocated half of the available debt levy <br /> reduction and for the year 2003 he has allocated a flat $200,000. <br />Fahey noted that there is no levy amount allocated for the year 1999, and <br />suggested that this could be changed once the Council has the <br />recommendation of the Debt Levy Reduction committee. <br />The Administrator pointed out that for 1999 revenues he has not shown <br />the General Fund transfer which would amount to about $55,000. This <br />transfer was not shown as these dollars could be another way to balance <br />the General Fund Budget. The projected General Fund surplus of <br />approximately $14,000 had also not been shown, which is another option <br />
