MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />DECEMBER 7,1998 <br />at 2"d, the County at 4'~', and miscellaneous taxing jurisdictions at 12`h <br />The City Administrator also explained how the Taxpayer's Association's <br />use of sales ratio for median value home in comparing municipalities' tax <br />rates is not an apples to apples comparison and moves Little Canada up in <br />the list ~iven its higher sales ratio than other cities. <br />Morelan encouraged property owners to look at the City's portion of their <br />tax bills pointed out that it is $312 for the year on a median value home. <br />Morelan also suggested that property owners think about the services they <br />receive for this $312 which include fire and police protection, street <br />maintenance and plowing, etc. Morelan felt that Little Canada property <br />owners were getting a very good value for their money. <br />The Administrator noted that salary information has been submitted to the <br />Council, and reported that the Budget numbers will be revised <br />accordingly. He also noted the Parks & Recreation Commission's and <br />Historical Society's recommendations that renovation of the Round Lake <br />pump home is budgeted for in the Capital Improvement Budget. $5,000 <br />has been included in the budget.
