MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />MAY 11, 1999 <br />The next issue at the Public Works Garage is the exterior storage of <br />materials in the required front yard. It was the consensus of the Council <br />that the City's building should be in compliance with the Code, and if <br />there is a way to modify exterior storage to be in compliance, that is what <br />should be done. <br />It was noted that the employee parking area is not curbed or marked, and <br />Council directed that this be done. <br />Council discussed the exterior storage of salt, wood chips, and a~gregate <br />materials. The Administrator recommended that the Code be amended to <br />allow this storage by CUP and Council agreed. Staff was directed to <br />prepare this ordinance amendment. <br />Council discussed the issues raised by Mursko relatin~ to landscaping and <br />landscape screening at the garage, and Council indicated that the building <br />should be brought into compliance. <br />The final issue discussed was the fact that the common curb cut footage <br />exceeds the maximum width of 24 feet, except with the approval of the <br />City Engineer. It was noted that the City's previous en~ineer, Carley- <br />Tor~erson approved this curb width at the time Country Drive was <br />reconstructed. <br />There being no further business, the workshop meeting was adjourned at <br />7:31 P.M. <br />]0 <br />
