MINUTES OF THE WORKSHOP M~ETING <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />LITTLE CANADA, MINNESOTA <br />JUN~ 22, 1999 <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof a workshop meetin~; of the City Council <br />ofLittle Canada, Minnesota was held on the 22"`~ day of June, 1999 in the <br />Council Chambers of the City Center located at 515 Little Canada Road in said <br />City. <br />Mayor Michael I. Fahey called the meeting to order at 6:00 P.M. and the <br />following members of the City Council were present at roll call: <br />CITY COUNCIL: Mayor Mr. Michael I. Kathy Glanzer <br />DEBT LEVY Mr. Tom Duray, Chair, and Mr. Mike Finegan, Vice-Chair of the Debt Levy <br />REDUCTION Reduction Committee, appeared before the Council to present their final <br />COMMITTEE report. Duray began with a brief recap of the City's levy history. He pointed <br />REPORT out that in the year 2000 the City's ~;eneral obligation debt levy decreases by <br />$256,400. The remaining $380,600 of debt levy disappears in the year 2003. <br />This is a total decrease in debt levy of $637,000 <br />Given these pending reductions, the City Council formed the Debt Levy <br />Reduction Committee to study the various options presented by this significant <br />reduction in the tax levy. The committee comprised a mix of Little Canada <br />residents and business owners and included the following: <br />
