MINUTES OF THE WORKSHOP MEETING <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />LITTLE CANADA, MINNESOTA <br />NOVEMBER 10, 1999 <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof a workshop meeting of the City <br />Council of Little Canada, Minnesota was held on the l Oth day of <br />November, 1999 in the Council Chambers of the City Center located at <br />515 Little Canada Road in said City. <br />Mayor Michael I. Fahey called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m. and the <br />followin~ members of the City Council were present at roll call: <br />CITY COiJNCIL: Mayor Mr. Michael I. Beverly Scalze <br />ALSO PRESENT: City Administrator Mr. Joel R. Hanson <br />Public Works Dir. Mr. Greg Schroeder <br />Parks & Rec Dir. Mr. Jim Morelan <br />Zoning Administrator Ms. Elizabeth Mursko <br />Accountant Ms. Julie Manville-Camp <br />Cable TV Producer Mr. Jamie Green <br />Deputy Clerk Mrs . Kathy Glanzer <br />2000 BUDGET The City Administrator presented the proposed 2000 Budget that reflects <br />amendments made by the Council at an earlier budget workshop. He <br />began his review noting that the City's tax rate for 2000 is 18.854%. Our <br />$102,000 tax cut has resulted in the total tax rate affecting Little Canada <br />droppin~ two spots and the City's rate dropping five spots. <br />The Administrator reviewed his memo dated November 5, 1999 outlining <br />changes made to the 2000 Budget since the September 8l~' version of the <br />budget. He reviewed changes to revenue and expense projections. These <br />changes result in a projected surplus of $740. The September 8`~' version <br />projected a deficit of $4,184. <br />Morelan commented on the reallocation of a portion of the Deputy Clerk's <br />salary and administrative fees to the Cable TV Bud~et. The <br />Administration noted that these reallocations were discussed at the last <br />workshop meeting. The reallocations carry some concern in that there is <br />
