He
HENSIVE noted that the Planning Commission will review this document at their
PLAN August meeting. They tabled review in July given the length of their
UPDATE agenda. The Planner reported that his office is currently integrating policy
statements into the plan utilizing the City's goal setting material.
Blesener pointed out a correction on page 20 of the plan. He also
appreciated the City Planner's realistic population projections proposed in
the plan, noting the significant amount of affordable housing that already
exists in Little Canada. Blesener felt that Met Council's projections for
Little Canada were unrealistic. He noted that the City is fully developed
and has twice the amount of affordable housing as neighboring cities.
The City Planner indicated that he will have discussions with Met Council
staff on this issue as the plan progresses further.
17
