The organization has made application <br /> for an Exempt Permit to conduct a raffle. Proceeds from this raffle will be used for on- <br /> going operational costs and scholarship awards. I have attached information relative to <br /> Nexstar and their mission. The raffle tickets will begin to be sold in 2008, but the actual <br /> raffle will not occur until 2009. <br /> A satisfactory Sheriffs Department Background Check has been received. Staff <br /> recommends approval of the Exempt Permit as requested. <br /> <br />
