1. Off street parking of any type of vehicle shall be provided in accordance with the Section <br />titled Parking Requirements, Off-Street, of this Chapter. <br />2. No more than four vehicles or one per licensed driver residing on the premises, whichever <br />is more, may be parked or stored outside on the lot. For the purpose of this clause, a <br />vehicle must be currently licensed and operable, have a capacity of nine or fe wer <br />passengers or be a truck not exceeding one -ton capacity. <br />3. Exterior vehicle parking and storage shall be confined to surfaces paved with concrete, <br />asphalt or pavers. All new or expanded parking shall meet this standard. All new <br />construction, including garages, garage additions and parking or vehicle storage area s shall <br />be served by an access drive made of concrete, asphalt or pavers. <br />a. One-, Two- or Three-Family Residences: <br />1. Parking areas and circulation drives of shall be set back at least 5 feet from any <br />side or rear lot line. <br />2. Parking in the front yard shall not be located between the living space of the house <br />and the street. <br />3. Front yard parking beyond the width of the garage (that is, in the side yard) shall <br />be set back from the front property line at least 10 feet . <br />4. Parking or Storage of Commercial -Use Vehicles, Inoperable Vehicles, Unlicensed Vehicles <br />and Vehicle Parts <br />a. Inoperable vehicles, unlicensed vehicle or vehicle parts shall not be stored outdoors, <br />whether on a lot or on a street, in a residential district <br />b. One commercial vehicle of Class 1, 2 or 3 may be parked or stored outside, whether on <br />a lot or on a street, in a residential district. Class 1, 2 and 3 vehicles are defined by <br />the U.S. Department of Transportation. <br />5. Parking or Storage of Recreational Vehicles, Boats, Trailers, All -Terrain Vehicles, <br />Snowmobiles and Similar Vehicles <br />a. Recreational vehicles, boats, all -terrain vehicles, snowmobiles, special purpose trailers <br />or other vehicles designed or used for off -road purposes may be parked or stored in a <br />garage or other building or may be parked or stored outdoors as follows: <br />b. No more than two such vehicles, not more than one of which is a recreational vehicle, <br />shall be parked or stored outdoors on each lot. Such lot must be occupied by a <br />principal structure, and such parking or storage shall occur only on asphalt, concrete or <br />pavers but not in a space that is designated as required parking for the principal use. A <br />trailer with one or more vehicles on it shall be considered one vehicle. <br />c. Any such vehicle shall not be parked or stored within 5 feet of a side or rear lot line. <br />Vehicles may be parked within the required front setback provided vehicles are parked <br />on an approved asphalt, concrete or pavers and shall not be within 10 feet of th e front <br />yard property line. <br />d. Such vehicles shall not be parked between the living space of the house and the street. <br />e. Recreational vehicles shall not be used as living or sleeping quarters for more than 14 <br />days per year. <br />
