<br />3. Inoperable or Unlicensed Vehicles and Vehicle Parts <br />The outdoor parking or storage of inoperable or unlicensed vehicles, or of vehicle parts is <br />prohibited. <br />4. Commercial Vehicles <br />One commercial vehicle of Class 1, 2 or 3 may be parked or stored outside in a residential <br />district. Class 1, 2 and 3 vehicles are defined by the U.S. Department of Transportation . <br />This vehicle counts towards the limit to exterior parking established in Section 915.170. <br />5. Recreational Vehicles, Boats, Trailers, and Similar Vehicles <br />Recreational vehicles, boats, utility trailers, snowmobiles, all -terrain vehicles, and other <br />off-road vehicles may be stored outdoors or within partially enclosed accessory structures, <br />subject to the following: <br />a. One (1) in-season recreational vehicle or trailer may be parked in the front yard on a <br />driveway. Such parking is not considered exterior storage but must maintain a setback <br />of at least ten (10) feet from the front property line . <br />b. Recreational vehicles or trailers parked in the side or rear yard are considered exterior <br />storage and must comply with the screening requirements of subsection (C) of this <br />section. <br />c. Utility trailers containing building materials, landscaping equipment, or other work - <br />related items shall not be parked in a driveway or any unscreened location for more <br />than thirty (30) consecutive days. Trailers stored beyond this period must be emptied <br />and comply with all other provisions of this section, including applicable screening <br />requirements. <br />d. No more than two (2) recreation vehicles or trailers may be stored outdoors or within a <br />partially enclosed accessory structure on a residential property at any one time . <br /> <br />SECTION 5. Section 915.170 of the Little Canada Zoning Ordinance is repealed in its entirety. <br /> <br />SECTION 6. Section 915.170 of the Little Canada Zoning Ordinance is adopted to read as <br />follows: <br />915.170 Parking, Off-Street <br />A. Residential Areas <br />The following parking regulations apply to passenger and commercial vehicles in the R -1, R-2 <br />and R-3 zoning districts as well as housing located in non -residential zoning districts. <br />1. No more than four vehicles or one per licensed driver residing on the premises, whichever <br />is more, may be parked or stored outside on the lot. For the purpose of this clause, a <br />vehicle must be currently licensed and operable, have a capacity of nine or fe wer <br />passengers or be a truck not exceeding one -ton capacity. <br />2. All exterior parking or storage of passenger and commercial vehicles must occur on a <br />paved driveway or parking pad that meets the standards of Section 915.060. Parking on <br />lawns or unpaved surfaces is prohibited. <br />B. Requirements for Building Permits and Certificates of Occupancy <br />Any new or enlarged building, or a change in the use of a building, shall be required to serve those <br />improvements or changes with parking, loading or bicycle parking as required in this Chapter.
