<br />CITY OF LITTLE CANADA <br />RAMSEY COUNTY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />ORDINANCE NO. 917 <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 919 OF THE ZONING CODE OF THE CITY OF <br />LITTLE CANADA TO AMEND DEFINITIONS RELATED TO DRIVEWAYS, PAVEMENT, <br />AND PARKING <br /> <br />The Little Canada City Council, Ramsey County, Minnesota does hereby ordain: <br /> <br />SECTION 1. Chapter 919 of the Little Canada Zoning Ordinance is hereby amended to add the <br />following definition: <br /> <br />Driveway: A passageway, primarily for use by vehicles, located on private property and <br />providing access from a public or private street to a garage, parking area, or other permitted on- <br />site destination. <br /> <br />SECTION 2. Chapter 919 of the Little Canada Zoning Ordinance is hereby amended to add the <br />following definition: <br /> <br />Parking Pad: A paved surface located in the side or rear yard of a residential property that is <br />used for the parking of passenger or recreational vehicles. A parking pad is not required to be <br />connected to a driveway and is not considered a required off-street parking space unless <br />otherwise approved through site plan or zoning review. <br /> <br />SECTION 3. Chapter 919 of the Little Canada Zoning Ordinance is hereby amended to revise <br />the following definition: <br /> <br />Paved: A surface finished with asphalt, concrete, or interlocking pavers such as brick, concrete, <br />or permeable units. Other durable, load-bearing materials may be approved by the City Engineer <br />or Zoning Administrator if they meet applicable drainage, design, and maintenance standards. <br /> <br />SECTION 4. REPEAL OF CONFLICTING ORDINANCES. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances <br />in conflict herewith are hereby appealed. <br /> <br />SECTION 5. SEVERABILITY CLAUSE. Every section, provision, and part of this Ordinance is declared <br />severable from every other section, provision, and part. If any section, provision, or part of this Ordinance <br />is held to be invalid by a court of competent jurisdiction, such judgment shall not invalidate any other <br />section, provision, or part of this Ordinance. <br /> <br />SECTION 6. This ordinance shall take effect and be in full force from and after its adoption and <br />publication. <br /> <br />Adopted this 23rd day of July, 2025 <br />
