During the past year, the Parlcs and Recreation Commission
received a petition in support of providing a basketball court in the park. The Concept Plans to be
discussed at the Parlcs and Recreation Commission Meeting will address this request by showing
how a single basket, half-court basketball court could be located in the Parlc. In addition, the Parlcs
and Recreation Commission is interested in replacing the existing play equipment with new
equipment. The existing play area is nearly 20 years old and needs to be updated. Concepts for
new play equipment will be discussed at the meeting.
The Parlcs and Recreation Commission encourages the public to provide input by attending the
November 5, 2009 meeting. If you are unable to attend, you are welcome to submit comments to
Jim Morelan, Parlcs and Recreation Director, at 651-766-4045 or
Jim.Morelan@ci.little-canada.mn.us.
