MAYOR
Blli Blesener
COUNCIL
Rick Montour

~~r//, (y/~,~.,/~ ~7^~/~ John Keis
v`~ Q~ --L--GGG~ Va~~'~a Michael McGraw
Shelly Boss
515 Little Canada Road, Little Canada, MN 55117-1600 ADMI1VIg1RA117R
(651) 766-4029 /FAX: (651) 766-4048 Joel R. Hanson
www, ci.little-canada.mn.us
December 9, 2009
Carl Costanzo
1728 Selby Avenue
Saint Paul, MN 55104
RE: 3151 Country Drive
Dear Mr. Costanzo:
I azn sending this letter to make you awaze that the building permit you applied for on
November 30, 2009 to enclose an accessory building at 3151 Country Drive has been
approved. This building permit was approved on December 2, 2009. The reason for
sending this letter today is that several attempts have been made to call the phone number
listed on your permit application. Each of those attempts were unsuccessful because the
line was either busy or city staff was told you were unavailable. When city staff was told
you were unavailable, we did request a message be left for you noting your permit was
ready to be picked up. To date you have not come into city offices to pick up the permit.
As a result, that is the reason for sending this letter today just make sure you are aware it
is available for pickup.
The permit can be paid for at city offices during normal business hours (Monday through
Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.) by cash or check. The permit fee is $196.43. So you
are aware, I did double fee the permit based on the construction of the service doors
being started prior to your submitting any building permit application or receiving
approval from the City. On November 30, 2009, I did visit your site and reviewed the
work in progress. I immediately issued a "Stop Work Order" to you for the construction
of the service doors only given that no permit had been applied for. Once the permit is
paid for, you would be able to resume construction of the doors.
If you have any other questions, please call me at 651-766-4043. This is also the phone
number you call to arrange the required inspections on your fence and these doors.
Sincerely,
Steve Westerhaus
Building Official
