MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING PLANNING COMMISSION LITTLE CANADA, MINNESOTA JANUARY 14, 2010 Pursuant to due call and notice thereof a regular meeting of the Planning Commission of Little Canada, Minnesota was held on the 14th day of January, 2010 in the Council Chambers of the City Center located at 515 Little Canada Road in said City. Vice Chair Tom Duray called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. and the following members of the Planning Commission were present at roll call: PLANNING COMMISSION: Mr. Tom Duray Mr. Michael 1?verson Mr. Tom Fischer Mr. Jon Hall Mr. Chuck Pechmami ABSEN"1': Mr. Dan Knudsen Mr. Scott Barraclough ALSO PRESIN'I': Mr. Steve Grittman, City Planner Mr. Kevin I-Ielander, Cable "I'V Ms. Kathy Glanzer, City Clerk ELECTION Tom Duray reported that election of 2010 Officers would be delayed OF OFFICERS until the February meeting of the Planning Commission. MINUTES The December 10, 2009 Planning Commission meeting minutes were approved as submitted. PRELIMINARY The City Planner reported that Landmark Development of MN has PLAT - applied for Preliminary Plat approval for Gervais Woods, an 1 I lot GERVAIS single-family development at 2966 LaBore Road, the Former Richie WOODS property. The City Planner reviewed the history of the property noting that in 2007 the City Council granted Preliminary Plat approval to a 16-lot single- family subdivision (Richie Place) subject to compliance with a number of conditions. Of the 16 lots proposed in the Kichie Place plat, 13 were Located in the City of Little Canada and 3 in Maplewood. Given the economic conditions, this proposal did not move forward. The Planner noted that since the Richie Place plat was proposed, the City amended its R-1 platting standards requiring larger lot sizes for new single-family plats.
