He noted that given County Road C <br /> is a busy street, on-street parking on that street during the project will not <br /> be an option. <br /> The City Administrator pointed out that it is the City's hope that bids will <br /> be very favorable. If the bids are high, the City will likely reject them and <br /> the project will not move forward. The Administrator indicated that <br /> property owners will be notified of the meeting at which the bids will be <br /> considered. <br /> Hoffman asked the number of bids that might be expected. The City <br /> Administrator reported that typically the City receives 3 to 6 bids for an <br /> improvement project. Given the competitive bidding climate, last year <br /> over 13 bids were received for the mill and overlay projects. <br /> There was no one else from the general public wishing to comment on this <br /> matter. <br /> Upon motion by Boss, seconded by Keis, the public hearing was closed. <br /> Ms. Boss introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 2010-I-23 -ORDERING IMPROVEMENT NO. <br /> 2010-11 AND PREPARATION OF PLANS FOR SYLVAN STREET <br /> (NORTH OF COUNTY ROAD C) <br /> The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by McGraw. <br /> Ayes (4). <br /> Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br /> SUNRISE Mayor Blesener opened the public hearing to consider the improvement of <br /> llRIVE Sunrise Drive (Edgerton to Second Phase) by mill and overlay of <br /> bituminous surface as well as concrete curb and gutter repair aild/or <br /> replacement. <br /> The City Engineer reviewed the existing condition of the street noting that <br /> it was originally consri•ucted in the mid-1980's. The Engineer noted that <br /> street has signi~6cant alligator cracking, but noted that there is minimal <br /> breakup based on the severity of the cracking. This leads him to believe <br /> that the based under the street is good. <br /> "fhe Engineer then reviewed the proposed improvements which include <br /> mill and pavement removal and repaving. Gravel will be graded to re- <br /> establish the crown of the street to ensure that drainage flows to the curb. <br /> There will be some curb and gutter repair/replacement.
