03/19/10

To: City of Little Canada
Mr. Joel Hanson and City Council Members
I am sorry but after careful consideration we have decided not to apply for an amendment to
the conditional use permit. We have based this decision on several factors and it is mostly due
to financial reasons. As you know we have lost two of our three tenants in this location and it
seems that it is going to take a lot of time and money to apply and comply with all of the
requirements and procedures needed. Please see attached 30 day notice to vacate the
premises by Minnesota Asphalt on or before March 31St of 2010.
We are planning to spend the next couple of months cleaning, painting and making repairs to
the interior of the building before we make our decision whether to sell or rent the property. I
hope you understand that we have been hit very hard by this loss of rent and it will take some
time to recover. It is not a possibility at this time. Hopefully in the further, when we do recover
our renters, we will be able to work something out.
As for the remaining work that needs to be done; I can set up final inspections for the two
permits outstanding for the early part of next week, say by Wednesday, the 31St of March. I
hope you find this to your approval. Thank you for your time and please call me with any
questions at 612-221-0455.
Sincerely,
Mary Fasching
--,ICJ L~
23
