<br /> MINUTES <br /> <br /> CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br /> JUNE 21, 2010 <br /> AND DECLARING THAT ALL OTHER DEFERRED HIA FEES FOR <br /> THE CANABURYSQUARE CONDOMINIUMS WILL BECOME DUE <br /> AND FULLY PAYABLE UPON ONE OF THE FOLLOWING <br /> EVENTS: <br /> a. Death of the owner (proviclerl that surviving spouse, if <br /> any, <br /> is not eligible for deferment); <br /> b. Sale, transfer, or subdivision of the subject property; <br /> c. Loss of homestead status of subject property; <br /> d Change of circumstances of owner resulting in there no <br /> longer being a hardship <br /> The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Blesener. <br /> Ayes (4). <br /> Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br /> RICE STREET- "fhe City Administrator reported that the Public Works Superintendent <br /> HWY 36 has indicated that the bid opening for the Rice Street/1-Iighway 36 Project <br /> RECON- occurred this afternoon. Eight bids were received with the low bid from <br /> STRUCTION Lunda in the amount of $16,590.088.00. The estimated project costs were <br /> PROJECT $25 million with $20 million being the construction portion. The <br /> Administrator reported that Lunda is a very reputable bridge construction <br /> company. <br /> The Administrator further reported that the low bid received will likely <br /> result in a decrease in the City share of the project, perhaps eliminating <br /> City cost participation completely. The City will still be responsible for <br /> its share of the cost of burying powerlines along Rice Street, however. <br /> The Administrator reported that City staff is recommending the City's <br /> concurrence with the bid award for the Rice Street/Highway 36 project. <br /> Mr. McUraw introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 2010-6-158 -CONCURRING WITH THE <br /> AWARD OF THE RICE STREET/HIGHWAY36 CONSTRUCTION <br /> PROJECT TO THE LOWEST RESPONSIBLE BIDDER AS <br /> RECOMMENDED BY CITYSTAFF <br /> The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Montour. <br /> Ayes (4). <br /> Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br /> 6 <br /> <br />
