City staff conducted an inspection of the property yesterday and it does not appear
the rear yard grass has been cut so far this year. The complainant indicated that the front yard had been
trimmed by neighbors. In addition, there is miscellaneousjunlddebris laying around the property (i.e.
pallets, tarps, old toys, garbage). Both thejunk/debris and the length of the grass are considered a public
nuisance as defined by l.,ittle Canada Code Section 601.030. and need to be corrected. As a result, this
letter shall scive as your official notice of violation and intent to abate.
The City is requesting your cooperation to take the necessary corrective action to address the maintenance
issues as once. To resolve the grass nuisance, the grass must be cut and maintained in appropriate
fashion. The initial cutting will also require the clean-up and proper disposal of trimmings given its
current length. With regards to the junk/debris, those items need to be picked up from around the yard
and either disposed of properly or placed inside the home/garage. if corrections are not completed by
Friday. July 2, 2010 the City will take the necessary steps to abate the nuisance pursuant to Section
60] .080 of the Little Canada City Code. (Copy attached.) If so ordered, all costs of the abatement
together with an administrative fee shall be assessed for collection on the property taxes.
Should you have any questions, please do not hesitate to call me al (651) 766-4046.
Sincerely,
JessicaJagoe
Code Enforcement Officer
