An approved licensed <br /> contractor must perform the repairs. If the re1~air extends into a city street, rigl}t_of--way <br /> or easement, prior written notice of the city is required. Atl such areas shall be restored <br /> to city standards by an approved contractor. <br /> LIABILITY hOR REPAIRS. <br /> After the initial connection has been made to the curb stop or the sewer lead, the <br /> ap~licaiit, owner, or the occupant or usez of such premises shall be liable fur all repairs required <br /> to any water line or sanitary sewer or storm sewer lines necessary for connection of the <br /> premises to the street main. including any repairs necessary to the curb stop box and any <br /> necessary street repairs. It shall be the res~ibi~__oP the applicant, owner, octant or user to <br /> maintain the stop box at such height as will ensure that it remains at the finished grade of the <br /> land or property. Should the stop box be located in a driveway. a "Ford T cover" must be <br /> installed,prior to the application of the impermeable surface. Iu the event a water main becomes <br /> frozen, the city will be responsible for thawing the same. The property owner shall have the sole <br /> responsibility of thawing the frozen water service line from its connection to the street main into <br /> the premises. All contractors engaged in thawing water lines must comply with the directions of <br /> 1601-2 <br /> 3 <br /> <br />
