<br /> MINUTES <br /> <br /> CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br /> AUGUST 25, 2010 <br /> <br /> AMEND Blesener noted that the next item of review relates to proposed <br /> ARCHI- amendments to Architectural Guidelines relative to architectural <br /> TECTURAL treatments for freestanding/pylon signs. It was noted that the <br /> GUIDELINES Planning Commission recommended approval of the amendments as <br /> proposed. <br /> The City Planner reported that the amendments proposed add additional <br /> quality requirements for freestanding signs. He noted that in recent <br /> actions approving these signs, the Council has had discussions about ways <br /> to enhance the appearance of these signs, and the amendments provide for <br /> additional architectural features to do so. <br /> Ms. Boss introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br /> RESOL UTION NO. 2010-8-196 -ADOPTING THE AMENDMENT <br /> TO ARCHITECTURAL GUIDELINES FOR <br /> FREESTANDING/PYLON SIGNS AS RECOMMENDED BY THE <br /> CITY PLANNER <br /> The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Blesener. <br /> Ayes (5). <br /> Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br /> AMENll ZONING Blesener opened the Public Hearing to consider a Amendments to the <br /> & MUNICIPAL Zoning Code relative to the definition of garden shed and pylon sign <br /> CODES - height for properties in the vicinity of fieeway intersections as well as <br /> SHEDS, PYLON an Amendment to the Municipal Code relative to the definition of dog <br /> SIGN HEIGHT, enclosure. It was noted that the Planning Commission tabled action on <br /> DO(: this matter until its next meeting. <br /> ENCLOSURES <br /> Mr. Blesener introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br /> RESOL UTION NO. 2010-8-197 -CONTINUING THE PUBLIC <br /> HEARING AND TABLING ACTION ON ZONING CODE <br /> AMENDMENTS RELATIVE TO DEFINITION OF GARDEN SHED <br /> AND PYLON SIGN HEIGHT AS WELL AS AMENDMENT TO THE <br /> MUNICIPAL CODE RELATIVE TO DEFINITION OF DOG <br /> ENCLOSURE UNTIL THE SEPTEMBER 20, 2010 REGULAR <br /> COUNCIL MEETING <br /> The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by McGraw. <br /> Ayes (5). <br /> Nays (0).
