REVIEW
SCOPE OF
SERVICES
FOR
PLANNING
RFP
MINUTES OF THE WORKSHOP MEETING
CITY COUNCIL
LITTLE CANADA, MINNESOTA
NOVEMBER 10, 2010
Pursuant to due call and notice thereof a workshop meeting of the City
Council of Little Canada, Minnesota was convened on the 10th day of
November, 2010 in the Council Chambers of the City Center located at
515 Little Canada Road in said City.
Mayor Bill Blesener called the meeting to order at 6:30 p.m. and the
following members of the City Council were present at roll call:
CITY COUNCIL: Mayor
Council Member
Council Member
Council Member
Council Member
ALSO PRESENT: City Administrator
Planning Comm.
Planning Comm.
Planning Comm.
Planning Comm.
Planning Comm.
Planning Comm.
City Clerk
Mr.
Ms.
Mr.
Mr.
Mr.
Mr.
Mr.
Mr.
Mr.
Mr.
Mr.
Mr.
Ms.
Bill Blesener
Shelly Boss
John Keis
Mike McGraw
Rick Montour
Joel R. Such
proposals were recently obtained for legal and auditing services.
RFP's will now be sought for planning, engineering and bond
counsel services. The purpose of this evening's workshop is to review a
draft scope of services for planning consulting as well as develop a
timeline for the RFP process.
The City Administrator reported that Northwest Consultants has been the
City's planner since at least 1980, and has done a good job for the City.
However, the RFP process will determine whether the current scope of
services is still appropriate, whether there are different approaches relative
to this service, as well as will provide information relative to pricing.
There was discussion about the fact that in addition to receiving RFPs
from planning consultant firms, the City may get proposals from cities in
the area seeking to provide planning services. Those proposals would be
reviewed and evaluated along with RFPs received from independent firms.
