MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />NOVEMBER 22, 2010 <br />The timelines for replacement were discussed. The touch read system <br />could be started immediately and completed within 3 -4 months of the <br />project start. The drive -by system could be could be completed within 7 -8 <br />months of project startup and the fixed- network system would be an <br />additional two months due to the acquisition of an FCC license and a <br />longer time needed to obtain the equipment. All systems could be <br />completed within the 2011 calendar year if the project is awarded in <br />January 2011. <br />The Council decided that all three systems should be bid so the numbers <br />can be compared to each other and an informed decision can be made. <br />The Public Works Superintendent said he would put specifications <br />together and bid the touch read system, the drive -by system, and the fixed <br />network system.
