GROOTWASSINK, WITH THE
REQUEST TO BE BROUGHT BACK BEFORE THE COUNCIL
WHEN MR. GROOTWASSINK SUBMITS HIS FINAL SIGN PLAN
FOR ACTION, AND NOTING THAT THE REQUEST IS HEREBY
DENIED SHOULD MR. GROOTWASSINK NOT SUBMIT THE 60-
DAY WAIVER WITHIN THE NEXT FEW DAYS
The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Montour.
Ayes (5).
Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted.
AMEND CUP Mayor Blesener opened the Public Hearing to consider the application of
R.J. Marco for an Amendment to Conditional Use Permit for minor auto
ARCHITEC repair and Architectural Review for the expansion of Vroom Motors. The
TURAL Planning Commission recommended approval of the CUP and
REVIEW Architectural Review subject to compliance with the recommendations of
VROOM the City Planner and City Engineer.
MOTORS
The City Planner reported the R.J. Marco, owner of the building at 2600
Rice Street is requesting an Amendment to Conditional Use Permit and
Architectural Review in order to construct a 1,860 square foot addition
onto their building to accommodate expanded space for Vroorn Motors.
The Planner noted that the addition would occur on the east side of the
building. The parking lot would also be expanded to the east to provide
for an additional 8 parking spaces. The City Engineer is working with R.J.
Marco on storm water management issues on site. The City Planner noted
that the Planning Commission recommended approval as does City staff.
He pointed out that conditions of approval include those that are still
relevant from the original CUP approval for this property which occurred
in 2000. The Planner noted that any changes to the commercial signage
would require a separate planning action. The property owner is not
proposing any at this time, other than some relocation of directional
signage.
23
5
