of i S
MEMORANDUM
TO: Mayor Blesener and Members of the City Council
FROM: Kathy Glanzer, City Clerk
DATE: March 22, 2011
RE: Temporary On -Sale Liquor License
St. John's Church Fish Fry April 15, 2011
St. John's Church is requesting approval of a Temporary Liquor License for their Fish Fry to be
held on Friday, April 15, 2011. Sheriff's Background Checks are satisfactory and a Certificate
of Liquor Liability Insurance has been received.
As you will recall, in July of 2010, the Council adopted rules governing the sale of alcohol in
conjunction with temporary liquor licenses issued as part of the Canadian Days Celebration.
During the discussion of these rules, the Council indicated that the rules should be implemented
with other temporary liquor licenses issued, if deemed appropriate. I have attached a copy of the
rules as well as the Council minutes relative to this issue.
Staff is recommending approval of the Temporary Liquor License for St. John's as requested.
MAYOR
Bill Blesencr
COUNCIL
Rick Montour
John Reis
Michael McGraw
Shelly Boss
515 Little Canada Road, Little Canada, MN 55117-1600 ADMINISTRATOR
(651) 766 -4029 FAX: (651) 766 -4048 Joel R. Hanson
www.ci.little-canada.mn.us
Given the type of event that St. John's will be holding, staff does not believe that these additional
rules are necessary.
